With more than 30 years of hands-on experience in Wellness, Skin Care, Massage Therapy, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Isabel Viveros-Ciampi has built a reputation as one of North Jersey’s most extensively trained and experienced wellness professionals.
As the owner and operator of Total Body Skin Care & Wellness Spa in Wayne NJ, Isabel has dedicated decades to continuing education, advanced certifications, and personalized client care.
Her background combines international training, therapeutic expertise, advanced esthetics education, and a passion for helping clients feel and look their best through individualized treatments.

Isabel’s wellness journey began in Buenos Aires, Argentina, during the 1990s, where she pursued extensive education in Skin Care and Manual Lymphatic Drainage while also practicing the techniques professionally.
In Argentina, her University-level skin care education included classroom training from dermatologists, cosmetic chemists, biologists, microbiologists, plastic surgeons, and other physicians, followed by internships in the dermatology units of local Buenos Aires hospitals.
Upon relocating to the United States in 2003, Isabel enrolled in the Atelier Esthétique Institute of Esthetics in Manhattan in order to familiarize herself with accepted American methods. In June 2003, she obtained her Esthetician license in New York State.
Over the years, Isabel has continued her studies through advanced educational programs in skin care, cosmetic chemistry, massage therapy, wellness treatments, and post-operative recovery techniques.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage has remained one of Isabel’s primary specialty areas throughout her career.
Her early training in Argentina focused extensively on the internationally respected Vodder method of Manual Lymphatic Drainage.
In the late 1990s, Isabel trained for one year at the Dr. Vodder School of Argentina under the supervision of Virginia Cool of France, one of the earliest practitioners and students of Manual Lymphatic Drainage pioneers Emil and Estrid Vodder.
Throughout the years, Isabel continued refining her skills through advanced studies with internationally recognized instructors and specialists from France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Argentina, and the United States.
Her advanced Manual Lymphatic Drainage training includes studies with:
In 2005 and 2006, Isabel studied with Linda (Koby) Blanchfield, RMT, CLT-LANA and received certificates from the Dr. Vodder School International for Manual Lymphatic Drainage for the Neck and Face.
She also completed two 88-hour intensive professional courses at the Swedish Institute in New York City under the direction of lymphedema specialist Michael Alatriste of The Lymphedema Alliance of NY.
Her studies included preparation for surgery and rehabilitation, cosmetic and reconstructive surgical procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and breast cancer treatment support.
In 2011, Isabel also completed Practical Applications of Manual Lymphatic Drainage with educator Carmen Thompson, whose program is recognized by the National Lymphedema Network.
In July 2022, Isabel completed a weeklong advanced course with the Academy of Lymphatic Studies (ACOLS), earning certification in Advanced Manual Lymphatic Drainage – Management of Post-Plastic Surgery Procedures.
The course provided specialized training in Manual Lymphatic Drainage techniques for clients recovering from procedures such as liposuction, tummy tucks, breast surgeries, mastectomies, and Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures.
In August 2025, Isabel was awarded the title of Certified Cosmetic Surgery Therapist by the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy after completing an intensive six-day course taught by renowned educator and author Nicole Psomas.
Psomas is the author of After the Cut: How to Prepare for and Recover from Cosmetic Plastic Surgery and spent 17 years at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center as a Physical Therapy Clinical Specialist working with trauma and reconstructive plastic surgery patients.
Despite nearly 30 years and more than 500 hours of specialized study in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Isabel continues to pursue ongoing education as new research and techniques emerge in the areas of lipedema, lymphedema, and post-operative recovery.

After relocating to the United States, Isabel pursued more than 1,300 hours of massage therapy education through the Institute of Therapeutic Massage in New Jersey.
Through her studies, she became both a licensed Massage Therapist in New York State and a Certified Massage Therapist in New Jersey.
Her continuing education includes:
Isabel has also completed more than 600 hours of study in health fitness instruction and nutrition and continues to study in the wellness field.
She regularly attends conferences and advanced educational programs covering the latest developments in esthetics, massage therapy, wellness care, and fitness. Her advanced skin care studies include Advanced Paramedical Esthetics and Cosmetic Chemistry.
Before relocating to New Jersey, Isabel worked at Cornelia Day Resort, one of New York City’s premier spas.
Her work as a massage therapist was recognized by Allure Magazine, which featured her in its “Best of” list for New York massage therapy in both 2007 and 2008.
As a massage therapist, Isabel realizes that “one size does not fit all” when it comes to massage. Following a thorough consultation, clients can expect to receive a range of different techniques targeted specifically to their individual needs and ailments.
As a skin care professional, Isabel aims to make an impact on her clients’ lives by personalizing and adding new dimensions to treatments that many others consider routine.
For example, during facial consultations and evaluations, it may become evident that a particular makeup ingredient, habit, or health issue is contributing to a skin reaction or disorder. This is especially true in one of Isabel’s specialty areas: the treatment of acne and rosacea, which are often followed with Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage.
Clients appreciate Isabel’s willingness to listen, share her knowledge, and work together to help improve their skin conditions and overall wellness goals.
At Total Body Skin Care & Wellness Spa, every treatment is approached with personalized attention, continuing education, and decades of hands-on experience.
